アメトーーク!Vol 16 ~ Kinnikuman TV Special

The Ame Talk Kinnikuman TV Special is finally getting a proper DVD release on the upcoming Ame Talk Vol 16 set.

The program features Japanese comedians and celebrities reminiscing about their favorite Kinnikuman moments, culminating with a game of Name that Kinkeshi, and a rare visit to Studio Egg (Yudetamago Studios)!

Region 2 DVDs not your thing?  Watch it online here.

A lot of Kinniku history and canon is covered throughout the show, with some of these guys saying some pretty damn funny things about their knowledge and relationship to the series.  Masaru Hamaguchi of Yoiko fame is my favorite of the bunch for sure.

Yoiko explaining their designs in an upcoming episode of their show

Yoiko are no strangers to the Kinnikuman universe. The famous comedy duo previously designed two exclusive Kinkeshi figures for the Kinnikuman 29th anniversary Yoiko Kinkeshi DVD, and have done numerous Kinnikuman bits and stunts during their stand-up routines.

As with their last Niku collab, Hamaguchi (HUGE Kinnikuman fan) took things pretty seriously, whereas Arino had a little more fun with his design...

Yoiko Kinkeshi DVD Box Set ~ よゐことキンケシ~濱口が有野に全418体を紹介する企画

The Yoiko Kinkeshi DVD Box Set is an absolute must for any hardcore keshi head.  Even if you do not understand a lick of Japanese, the visual display and documentation of the entire original Kinkeshi line is impressive beyond belief.  The set is comprised of two DVDs and one of two exclusive 29th anniversary Kinkeshi figures designed by Yoiko.

The program stars the Japanese comedian duo, Yoiko (Arino and Hamaguchi), and is focused solely on the background, phenomena and celebration of Kinkeshi.

Yoiko basically introduce each figure separately while adding commentary about the history and background of each character. Hamaguchi is a huge Kinnikuman fan and is able to name almost every single figure in the collection.  Japanese comedy duo hilarity ensures as the two engage in a battle of words and whit regarding the Kinkeshi marathon they have embarked on.

The duo ends up spending over four hours (no kidding) introducing and commenting on all 418 Kinkeshi individually.  There is also an additional hour of bonus material including an exclusive meeting with Shimada-sensei of Yudetamago where he answers 29 of their questions about Kinkeshi.

"The Kannin" designed by Hamaguchi

The program shows the original Daishi for each "part" of the Bandai line, and also features images of the individual capsule inserts.  There is also a bonus feature where you can go through and view a high res image of all all 418 keshi individually.

"Kinkeshiman" designed by Arino

The DVD set is available over at Amazon.co.jp starting at only 2,350円 (In new condition) from Amazon Marketplace sellers.

The Japanese comedy duo Yoikobu recently attempted a full-on Kinniku Buster in zero gravity after pulling 2Gs in a jet for the 5th time - Hilarity ensues...

I was unable to embed the video for some odd reason, but I found a link on another blog. You will need to scroll down to the middle of the page and click on the same image as shown above...kinda ghetto, but it will be worth the trip. Watch it in all its Wackiness Here!
