Dead Stock Vintage Kinkeshi Capsules at the Mandarake Micro Shop!

The Mandarake Micro Shop located in the Nakano Broadway is nothing short of Kinkeshi Nirvana.  I have made many a pilgrimage to that hallowed ground, and can attest that their keshi selections and customer service are second to none.

Pic from my last visit - Taken with Permission ... hard to believe but true - 肉

While chatting with the Micro Shop Director, Miyakoshi-san, on Twitter today, he indicated that they still have 30 dead stock, vintage, Kinnikuman part 25 and 26 Kinkeshi capsules for sale. The prices range from 315円 to 1,050円 per capsule, and are a must for any Kinkeshi collection!

These capsules were part of an amazing warehouse find, and should be gone within a matter of days.

If you are interested in adding some to your collection, you can contact Mandarake by using their English Customer Service Contact Form.

Please list the number of "dead kinkeshi capsules" you are interested in and what part(s) you would prefer.  An English speaking Mandarake employee will then work with the Micro Shop to get your order straightened out.

Payments can be made via PayPal, and I can attest that their International shipping rates are quite reasonable.  Please also be sure to check out their amazing Kinnikuman selection in English and Japanese!

いただき!! キン肉マン

Itadaki!! Kinnikuman from Jump Books!

Each volume involves Choujin getting down with food in one form or another, hence the series being named "Itadaki Kinnikuman." (Japanese traditionally say "itadakimasu" いただきます before starting a meal).

There are five volumes in the series thus far, with each book featuring extremely colorful and unique artwork. While these books are clearly targeted for youngsters, Kinnikuman fans of all ages should throughly enjoy the funny stoylines and brilliantly, re-imagined character designs.

A great way to indoctrinate kids with Kinnikuman lore as well as good eating habits 。。。肉

Check out the official website for ordering info and complete details on the Itadaki!! Kinnikuman Series.

キン肉マンマッスルブラザーズ Collaboration Mania!

From Five Star Toy + Kinnikuman Muscle Apparel + Mangart Beam T, comes the Nostalgic Sofvi Muscle Brothers monochrome collaboration set, complete with interchangeable Kinnikuman Great Mask!

And here I though the world of Hip Hop held the corner on extreme collaborations...

Image Compliments of Beams T

This special monochrome offering is limited to 29 sets as part of the recent Kinnikuman day festivities.  What really makes this set unique however is the monochrome color scheme based on the original black and white depictions of Kinnikuman and Kamehame from the Kinnikuman comics.

While I am all for colorful, and highly detailed action figures, something truly can be said for the beauty and simplicity of figures based on their pure and simple monochrome renderings.

As an accompanying piece to the offering above, we have yet another collaboration from Kinnikuman Muscle Apparel and Mangart Beams T in the form of a monochrome Muscle Brothers T Shirt.

Kinnikuman Chainsaw Art ~ ジェイソンさんが彫る

Japanese Weekly Playboy recently did a story on a rather nifty Kinnikuman Chainsaw art sculpture  carved up by the mysterious Japanese chainsaw sculptor, "Jason."

Not sure if I was more amused by Kinnikuman slowly emerging from a giant stump of wood, or by the chainsaw wielding Japanese dude wearing a Jason mask...

Check out some amazing Chainsaw Kinnikuman video footage over at the official Jason's Engraving Blog.
